Suspect Sought After Man Shot And Killed In Jamaica, Police Say

Tymel West, 22, died after being shot several times in the chest.

JAMAICA, NY – A man was shot multiple times in the chest and died in Jamaica, police said. The suspected gunman had not been caught as of Nov. 6.

The NYPD said Tymel West, 22, of Sutphin Boulevard, was shot on Guy R. Brewer Boulevard at 10:50 p.m. Nov. 3. He was pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.

Police have released photos of the suspect who is described as of medium build with facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black skull cap, a black hooded sweatshirt with white designs on the sleeves, gray jeans and black sneakers.
