Suspicious Bag In JFK Spurs Brief Shut-Down In Parts Of Terminal
Police cleared the unattended bag less than a half hour after it was announced Thursday afternoon.

JAMAICA, QUEENS -- Parts of John F. Kennedy Airport was briefly evacuated as cops investigating a "suspicious unattended bag" left in a terminal Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
Terminal 5's south side check-in area was temporarily evacuated as police checked on the bag left alone in the terminal, the airport announced in a tweet just after 3 p.m.
JFK's departure roadway was also shut down during the search.

Cops cleared the package shortly after, and the airport announced operations would return to normal in a Tweet sent out roughly 30 minutes later.
Port Authority police did not immediately return Patch's requests for comment.
