Trio Of Wig Thieves Beat Queens Salon Employee, Cops Say

Police are looking for three women who beat up a salon worker to steal $87 worth of wigs last month.

QUEENS, NEW YORK -- Three women beat and kicked a salon worker when he caught them stealing $87 worth of wigs last month, police said.

An employee at My Hair and Beauty at 168-24 Jamaica Ave. first tried to stop the women from walking off with his merchandise at about 2:50 p.m. on Oct. 23., said police.

Surveillance video shows the women knocking the store employee to the ground then storming off with their ill-gotten wig gains, police said.

Police released photos and video of the suspects Friday morning and asked anyone with information to contact the NYPD.

The store worker was not seriously injured in the brawl and refused medical attention, police said.
