Wig-Wearing Jamaica Gunman Pleads Guilty To Six Robberies: Feds

The 36-year-old man could spend up to life behind bars for the heists, federal prosecutors said.

JAMAICA, QUEENS -- A wig-wearing bandit now faces up to life behind bars after he admitted to robbing half a dozen Queens gas stations and convenience stores at gunpoint, federal prosecutors said.

Sean Jack, 36, of Jamaica, pleaded guilty in a Brooklyn federal court on Thursday to the six stickups, in which he and his partner in crime were notorious for wearing wigs to disguise themselves, said U.S. Attorney Richard Donoghue.

"As he has now admitted, Sean Jack participated in numerous armed robberies including one in which an employee of a gas station was pistol-whipped," Donoghue said.

Each of the robberies followed a similar pattern, Donoghue said. Jack and his coconspirator would pretend to shop at a gas station or mini-mart and when they brought their various items to the counter, one would pull out a gun while the other looted the cash register for money.

Jack pleaded guilty to a Hobbs Act robbery conspiracy, multiple Hobbs Act robberies and brandishing firearms during the heists. He faces anywhere from seven years to life in prison.
