St. Luke's Thrift Shop Distributes Nearly $18,000 To Local Organizations (wrfalp.com) — St. Luke’s Thrift Shop is putting nearly $18,000 back into Jamestown-area programs that feed families, support students, and provide shelter. Grants are going to Jamestown Public Schools, local food pantries, shelters, youth programs, and the farmers market, while additional clothing donations push the shop’s total community support to more than a quarter of its sales.

2. City Council To Review Request To Allocate $200,000 To Blooming Gardens Project (wrfalp.com) — Jamestown City Council is set to consider putting $200,000 in housing funds toward the Blooming Gardens project on Spring Street, which would create homes for at least 10 individuals and two families. Council will also review a lease with Chautauqua County’s Health Department, hear the 2024 city audit, and get an update from the Board of Public Utilities at tonight’s public work session.

Local social media influencer releases video of stabbing in Tim Horton's (wnynewsnow.com) — A Jamestown Tim Hortons was the scene of a violent altercation where local social media figure Nicky Sal was stabbed while confronting an alleged online predator, leading to hospital treatment in Jamestown and Erie. Newly released video shows the fight spilling across the dining area, an employee trying to intervene, and a third person slashing Sal’s arm before fleeing.

Sex offender violation nets Jamestown man probation (post-journal.com) — A Jamestown man has been sentenced in Pennsylvania to three years of probation and a fine for failing to keep his sex offender registration current. Authorities say he moved between Pennsylvania and Jamestown without properly updating his address, prompting an investigation and eventual guilty plea.
