📰 News we're reading
• Johnson City Street Named in Honor of Retired B.U. President (wnbf.com) — A key stretch of Corliss Avenue on Binghamton University’s Health Sciences Campus in Johnson City has just been renamed “H. Stenger Place” to honor retired BU president Harvey Stenger. Village officials say his leadership helped spur major development in that part of Johnson City, and the low-key change was made without a formal ceremony at his request.

• Obituary of Carole Morehouse (wxhc.com) — Local readers should know that memorial donations in honor of Carole Morehouse are being directed to Hospice Guthrie Johnson City Pavilion on Jennison Avenue in Johnson City. Morehouse, a longtime Cornell University employee devoted to her large family, passed away December 9, and a Celebration of Life is planned January 3 at the VFW in Dryden.
