Man Tries To Get Into Kings Park Tavern With Shovel: Police

The man was unsuccessful and fled, police say.

KINGS PARK, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help in finding the man who police said tried to get into a Kings Park tavern with a shovel.

A man used a shovel to try to break into Celtic Crossing Tavern, at 83 Pulaski Road, around 3:15 a.m. March 10, police said. The man was unsuccessful and fled, but he damaged the tavern's door, police said. He is wanted for criminal mischief.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
