Smithtown Strikes Settlement with Garbage Carting Firm
Smithtown TownĀ officials have reached a legalĀ settlement agreement with the garbage carting firm whose employees were accused of stealing more than $200,000 in a recycling scheme last August.Ā
Smithtown Town Board will release $674,032 in funds withheld from Jody Enterprises since May, who has continued to to collect household garbage and recyclables from 15,000 Smithtown homes,Ā NewsdayĀ reports.Ā
