3 Businesses Cited In Underage Alcohol Sales Compliance Operation In Village of Mamaroneck
The compliance check was conducted last week, in collaboration with the Westchester County Department of Public Safety.

VILLAGE OF MAMARONECK, NY — Three local business recently failed the test when it comes to asking for identification before selling alcoholic beverages, according to law enforcement officials.
The Village of Mamaroneck Police Department says that an underage alcohol sales to minor compliance check was conducted on Oct. 22, in collaboration with the Westchester County Department of Public Safety.
Officials say the purpose of the compliance check is to inspect and verify that area businesses follow state law when selling alcohol, specifically regarding anyone under the age of 21.

Police say that three businesses were found not being in compliance:
- Station Liquors, 137 Halstead Ave.
- Lopez Grocery, 503 Haslstead Ave.
- Los Primos, 665 Old White Plains Rd.
Summonses were issued to the three businesses, and referrals were made to the State Liquor Authority, according to police.

The New York State Liquor Authority, and its Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control, were established as part of the Alcoholic Beveral Control Law in 1934, in order to provide for the "protection, health, welfare, and safety" of New Yorkers.
