Mamaroneck Police Blotters: Car Thief Takes $10K
Larceny from a vehicle parked at Hommocks Middle School results in theft of designer pocketbook, cash and expensive jewelry.

The Village of Mamaroneck Police Department investigated the following incidents last week:
Burglary
Between June 12 and June 14, a resident at 115 N Barry Ave. reported an indeterminable amount of items had been removed from his home. No arrests have been made.

Intoxicated person
On June 15, at approximately 5 p.m., a female at 540 Mamaroneck Ave. was arrested for public intoxication and possession of an open bottle of vodka. Due to her state, EMS was notified and she was brought to Sound Shore Medical Center; she is due in court on June 26.

Larceny
On June 15, at approximately 8 p.m., a resident reported their bicycle had been stolen from 121 Washington St.
Fireworks
-On June 15, at approximately 9:30 p.m., a resident on Grand Street reported fireworks being lit off. Police canvassed the area, but no arrests were made.
-On June 16, at approximately 7 p.m., a resident on Elliot Avenue reported teens were setting off fireworks. One of the teens was described as carrying a small child; no arrests have been made.
-On June 19, at approximately 9 p.m., a resident on North Barry Avenue reported fireworks being lit off. No arrests have been made.
Criminal mischief
-On June 16, at approximately 8 a.m., a resident at 203 Travers Ave. reported damage done to their vehicle.
-On June 16, at approximately 9 a.m., a resident at 1035 E Boston Post Rd. reported damage done to their vehicle.
-On June 16, at approximately 9:30 a.m., police discovered graffiti on a building at 640 E Boston Post Rd.
-On June 17, at approximately 4:35 p.m., a resident at 837 Underhill Ave. reported scratches on their vehicle. A suspicious individual was spotted in the area, but no arrests have been made.
Harassment
-On June 19, at approximately 8:36 a.m., a landlord at 411 English Pl. was arrested for harassing a tenant.
Civil dispute
On June 15, at approximately 10:30 a.m., a man at 707 Taylor's Ln. reported his neighbor was destroying his property. The dispute arose out of confusion regarding property lines; no arrests have been made.

The Town of Mamaroneck Police Department investigated the following incidents last week:
Burglary
On June 17, between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m., a computer and keyboard were stolen from 81 W Garden Rd. The total cost of the items stolen is $1,800; the charge is burglary in the third degree, and no arrests have been made.
Larceny
-On June 20, between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., a pocketbook, jewelry and cash were stolen from a vehicle parked at Hommocks Middle School. The Gucci pocketbook was valued at $1,250, and its contents $850. In addition, $1,800 in cash and several thousand dollars worth of jewelry were also taken. The charge is grand larceny in the third degree; no arrests have been made.
-Between 9 p.m. on June 16 and 7:30 a.m. on June 17, a vehicle was stolen from 259 Griffen Ave. The car—a Lexus valued at $38,000—has not yet been located. The charge is grand larceny in the third degree; no arrests have been made.
-On June 15, at approximately 6:45 a.m., a digital camera and memory card were stolen from a vehicle parked at 3 Country Rd. The items are valued at $650; no arrests have been made.
-Between June 15 and June 16, a GPS was stolen from a vehicle parked at 1 Winding Brook Dr. The item is valued at $300; no arrests have been made.
-On June 15, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., a bicycle was stolen from Hommocks Middle School. No arrests have been made.
DWI
On June 17, at approximately 11:45 p.m., 26-year-old Yonkers resident was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after causing a traffic accident. She was released on $100 bail.
Graffiti
-On June 18, in the early morning, police found graffiti markings on a sign at the Gardens Lake.
-On June 18, between midnight and 8 a.m., police found graffiti markings on a bench on W Brookside Drive.

-2 incidents of individuals leaving the scene of an auto accident
