Mamaroneck Police Blotter: Parking Meter Stolen

Between June 28 and July 5, a bicycle, necklace and parking meter were stolen.

The Village of Mamaroneck Police Department investigated the following incidents last week:

Robbery

On July 5, at approximately 11 p.m., an officer on patrol witnessed a male strike another male on Mamaroneck Avenue. Upon stopping the violence, the officer learned that the attacker was attempting to rob the victim. The officer placed the robber—37-year-old Bert Bilinger of the Village of Mamaroneck—under arrest.

 Criminal mischief

-On June 29, at approximately 8 p.m., a resident of Halstead Avenue reported damage had been done to their parked vehicle. No arrests have been made.

-On July 1, at approximately 10:30 a.m., a resident on the 1000 block of West Boston Post Road reported damage had been done to their parked vehicle. No arrests have been made.

-On July 2, at approximately 3:30 p.m., a resident on the 400 block of Carroll Avenue reported damage had been done to their parked vehicle. No arrests have been made.

Larceny

-On June 30, at approximately 11 a.m., steel beams were stolen from a construction site on Prospect Avenue.

-On July 1, a resident reported a bicycle was stolen from their residence on the 700 block of Prospect Avenue. No arrests have been made.

-On July 1, at approximately 9 a.m., a meter repair worker reported a parking meter had been stolen from Phillips Park Avenue.

Fireworks

-On July 3, at approximately 11:30 p.m., a resident on Madison Street reported individuals were setting off fireworks. Police responded but the perpetrator(s) had left the area.

-On July 4, at approximately 1:54 a.m., a resident on the 100 block of W. Boston Post Road reported fireworks were being thrown off of a nearby roof. No arrests have been made.

-On July 4, at approximately 9:00 p.m., a resident on Ward Avenue reported an unidentified male was setting off fireworks. No arrests have been made.

Intoxicated person

On July 4, at approximately 2:27 a.m., police and EMS aided an intoxicated individual on Union Avenue.

 In addition, police investigated:

-12 motor vehicle accidents without injury

-1 motor vehicle accident with injuries

-4 hit-and-runs

 

The Town of Mamaroneck Police Department investigated the following incidents last week:

Criminal mischief

-Between July 4 and July 5, a window on a vacant office building was broken at 1380 Mamaroneck Ave. No arrests have been made.

-On July 3, at approximately 7 p.m., an individual broke glass on the front door of a home on Harmon Drive. The damage was likely caused by a BB or pellet gun; no arrests have been made.

-On June 28, at approximately 11 p.m., a man punched a vehicle in motion on Dillon Road and caused $125 worth of damage to the passenger side. No arrests have been made.

Burglary

-On June 30, between 6 p.m. and midnight, a necklace valued at $100 and $40 in cash were stolen from a home on Glenn Road. No arrests have been made.

-Between June 29 and July 1, items were stolen from the master bedroom of a house on Murray Avenue. The burglar entered through a rear window; no arrests have been made.

In addition, police investigated:

-2 incidents of individuals leaving the scene of an auto accident

-6 auto accidents without injury

-1 auto accident with minor injuries
