Mamaroneck Police Blotters: May 24-31

A three-vehicle car accident leaves two injured.

The Town of Mamaroneck Police Department investigated the following incidents last week:

Auto accident with injuries

On May 25, at 7:34 p.m., a vehicle operated by an Eastchester resident sideswiped a vehicle operated by a Bronxville resident while travelling south on Weaver Street. The first operator crossed the double yellow line after reportedly seeing a squirrel. After sideswiping the second vehicle, the first vehicle collided head on with a third vehicle operated by a Yonkers resident. The first operator declined medical attention, the second was treated for a shoulder injury, and the third was treated for a head abrasion.

Grand larceny

On May 28, between 3:50 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., a wallet was stolen out of a woman's purse at Stop and Shop Supermarket located at 1326 Boston Post Rd. The woman told officers the wallet was in her purse when she entered the store, but missing when she reached the register. The charge is grand larceny in the fourth degree; no arrests have been made.

Identity theft

On May 28, between 3:00 p.m. and 3:45 p.m., an unknown person used a Mamaroneck resident's credit card to purchase $1,700 worth of goods. The charge is identity theft in the third degree; no arrests have been made.

In addition, police investigated:

-Five motor vehicle accidents

-One motor vehicle accidents with minor injuries
