'Filled With Excitement': Levittown Superintendent Ready For School

The new school year begins in the Levittown Public Schools on Wednesday.

LEVITTOWN, NY — Students return for the 2024-2025 season in the Levittown Public Schools next week. The first day is Wednesday, Sept. 4.

Superintendent of Schools Todd Winch is welcoming everyone back in a letter to families posted Friday on the district's website.

"I am filled with excitement and anticipation for the wonderful experiences and learning opportunities that lie ahead," Winch wrote.

He is also filled with pride as Division Avenue High School and MacArthur High School were named "Best High School" in a recent survey by US News & World Report. The district was recognized as a "Best Community for Music Education," and a recent graduate was named a Rhodes Scholar.

"These are just a few of the many accolades our students and faculty garnered throughout the year," he wrote.

But Winch isn't resting on any academic laurels, instead looking to build on the achievements.

"Together, we can make this year a memorable and successful one for all students," he said.
