LEVITTOWN, NY — A MacArthur High School junior won a prestigious international piano competition.

Felicia Garramone took the top prize at the Andrey Stoyanov event in Bulgaria.

She began playing the piano at age four and quickly progressed through New York State School Music Association levels, reaching Level 6 in the fifth grade.

In eighth grade, Garramone earned first place in a competition that allowed her to perform at Carnegie Hall.

During her sophomore year, she auditioned for All-State and received a perfect score of 100. In December 2024, she was privileged to perform with the All-State Orchestra in Rochester.
