Levittown Memorial Day Parade Set For May 30

Residents can come out and support the groups marching, and then take part in a ceremony afterward.

LEVITTOWN, NY — Levittown will celebrate Memorial Day on May 30 with a parade through the town, followed by a ceremony.

The parade begins at 10 a.m. from Island Trees Middle School, located at 45 Wantagh Ave. Marchers will then head west on Hempstead Turnpike for 1.75 miles and end at the viewing stand on Shelter Lane, near the Levittown Public Library. Immediately after the parade, the Merican Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars will be holding Memorial Day services at their posts.

Army Specialist Daniel Fuentes is the posthumous grand marshal of this year's parade. The parade will be led by his family in his honor.
