Levittown's Hunter Cited As Star Student: Here’s Why
We all know students who excel in academic, fine arts or volunteer service. Here's one local resident who is having an impact in Levittown.

LEVITTOWN, NY — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Eryn Kaplan who nominated Hunter, of Levittown.
Star local student’s name
Hunter
Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Hunter puts his greatest effort into everything he does. He is a very empathetic young man who is only out to please others and doing his best to make others proud while making himself happy. Hunter is involved in the East Broadway concert band and chorus. He is currently participating in the school theater performance of "Seussical the Musical." Hunter also exceeds all academic standards in all areas. He is a first-degree black black at Champions Tae Kwon Do and testing for his second-degree in March. He achieved his first-degree at only 8 years old due to his perseverance and indomitable sprit. He is a Webelos 1 in the Nassau County Boy Scouts, Pack 96 and has achieved all three of the religious emblems for his age. He is also part of the Temple Bnai Torah Youth Choir where he shows his love of religion during services and prepares for his Bar Mitzvah when he turns 13. When he isn't busy he is staffing Tae Kwon Do for younger students acting as their guide and role model.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
He is young man who has learned to be a role model to others.
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Hunter!
