Town of Babylon To Host 15th Annual Soldier Ride

The 25-mile bike ride allows residents and injured veterans to ride together, to raise awareness for the nation's wounded heroes.

LINDENHURST, NY — Long Islanders will soon have the opportunity to support the country's wounded heroes.

The 15th Annual Wounded Warrior Project's Babylon Soldier Ride will take place on Friday at 9 a.m., Councilman DuWayne Gregory announced.

The Soldier Ride is a 25-mile bike ride where residents and injured veterans ride together, to raise awareness for the nation's "wounded warriors."

The event will begin at Town Hall and end at Overlook Beach. Transportation is provided for the participant and their bicycle back to Town Hall, a press release stated.

Residents are also encouraged to donate or cheer on the warriors as they ride through the community.
