Afternoon Activities, Concert Cancelled Due to Snow
Lindenhurst Schools remain open but cancel afternoon activities due to weather.
The Lindenhurst School District announced all afternoon activities at all district schools for today, December 10, have been cancelled due to snow.
The district made the announcement via their official website and their other messaging systems.
The cancelled activities include the eighth grade concert, which has been rescheduled for December 18 at 8:15 p.m. in the Auditorium.
The sixth grade concert, which is also scheduled for December 18, has been moved to start at 6:30 p.m.
Today's snowfall is expected to drop between three to five inches of the wet, white stuff across Long Island through early evening. Roadways have already become slick due to the snow and ice – it is advised to drive slowly for your safety.
