Artwork Of Amityville Student Showcased In 'Black Creativity' Exhibit

AMITYVILLE, NY — An Amityville student is currently being recognized for his artistic talents.

The district announced that the artwork of Nicholas Brown, a senior at Amityville Memorial High School, will be included in the Islip Arts Council's art exhibit, "Black Creativity: Selected Works."

His piece, "Woman of Sorrow" will be on display at the regional art exhibition through March 10 in the gallery space at the South Shore Mall in Bay Shore.

Nicholas was supported by his art teacher, Jayne Grasso, the district said.
