At The Library: Antiques Appraisals, Iron Man 3

Our local libraries are a source of both knowledge and entertainment, with informational and education events being hosted throughout the week.

The Lindenhurst Memorial Library often hosts these events for little or no charge, so check out the top events going on this week.

• Children in Grades six through 12 can drop by on Sept. 24 to make mosaic suncatchers using glass pieces starting at 6:30 p.m.
• Find out if grandma's old clock is worth a fortune – the Antique Road Show will drop by the library on Sept. 25 for free appraisals starting at 7 p.m.
• Catch "Iron Man 3" as the movie of the week... twice! The library will hold two showings on Sept. 26 at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
• The AARP will hold a Defensive Driving Course starting at 9:30 a.m.
