Barthelmes Snags State Champ Title in Track
Lindenhurst High School senior Alyssa Barthelmes earns gold medal at the New York State indoor track championship at Cornell University on March 2.

Alyssa Barthelmes - a senior at Lindenhurst High School and a member of the Varsity Girls Track team - just won the NYSPHSAA Boys and Girls Indoor Track Championships this past weekend.
"She was in the 200-meter leg of the Section XI intersectional relay this March 2 at Cornell University. She can now add State Champion to her already impressive resume," Steve Gosline, head coach of the LHS Varsity Girls Track team, shared with Lindenhurst Patch in an e-mail earlier this week.
"Last year she was Suffolk County champion in the 300-meter. She holds four school records, [and is] five-time All-League, County Champ and State Champ," noted Gosline.
