Update: Bleacher Collapse at Fireman's Park Injures Several Spectators

Update, September 7, 10:45 a.m.: According to LFD Chief Jim Gallagher, Suffolk Police are investigating the incident. And he also said there were four people who were taken away. The parade, which starts at 5 p.m., is also still on for today. He didn't have any other details to share at this time. Several spectators were injured in a bleacher collapse at Fireman's Park in Lindenhurst on Friday night.

Initial reports said there were four people injured in the incident that occurred at 9:03 p.m. during a drill exhibit (the Town of ) at the park that's set to take place September 7 and 8, with a rain date of September 9.
However, Suffolk Police said when the top bleacher bench gave way, two males and one female, all in their 20s, were injured and taken to Good Samaritan and Southside Hospitals - though it wasn't immediately clear who was taken to which hospital.

In addition, police officials reiterated all were treated for minor injuries only, and it wasn't immediately clear what the injuries were exactly, though initial reports indicated they suffered minor cuts and bruises.
Police said no other details about the incident were immediately available.
