Community School Forum, Village Board Meeting Ahead This Week

Columbus Day

Schools and government buildings will be closed on Monday, October 14 for the national holiday. Ring your favorite businesses ahead of time to see if they're closed as well.

Of course, the holiday also means no garbage pick-up nor mail delivery during the day either.

PUBLIC MEETINGS

The Lindenhurst Village Board will hold a public meeting this Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. All residents are welcomed to come down, voice their thoughts and join the governmental process.

The Lindenhurst Board of Education will hold a Community Forum for all residents, parents and interested individuals at the Lindenhurst Middle School on Wednesday at 8 p.m.

SPORTS EVENTS

The Lindenhurst Bulldogs varsity girls soccer team will host two home games this week – against Smithtown West on Wednesday at 4 p.m. and Friday against Walt Whitman High at 4:45 p.m. Head down to the Middle School for exciting Bulldogs soccer!

The Lindenhurst Bulldogs varsity football team will try to notch another "W" on the season as they head to Commack to face the Cougars at 2 p.m. Head out the short distance to root on the green-and-white to victory!

TIME TO GET SPOOKED

Grace United Methodist Church will host a Halloween Party this Friday starting at 7 p.m. Wear your costume a few weeks early and get ready for games, snacks, family-friendly beverages and dessert – all for just $5!
