Daniel Street Elementary Welcomes New Assistant Principal
Veronica Builes Brings Experience in Leadership and ENL Education to the Role

The Lindenhurst Union Free School District has hired Veronica Builes as the new Assistant Principal of Daniel Street Elementary School.
To her new role, Ms. Builes brings experience in bilingual education with a deep understanding of diverse learners. She comes to Lindenhurst from Youth Enrichment Services, (YES) where she worked as a Senior Program Coordinator, providing strategic leadership for before and after-school programs serving over 400 students. In this capacity, she supervised a team of more than 60 staff, ensured regulatory compliance, and strengthened community partnerships.
Ms. Builes’ background also includes a tenure in the Roosevelt Union Free School District, where she served as the lead English as a New Language (ENL) teacher. In that role, she supported a team of educators, coordinated districtwide professional development, and implemented programs to optimize student success for English Language Learners.

She holds a Master of Science in educational leadership from Western Governors University and holds a certification in New York State school building leadership. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in TESOL K-12 from the University of New York at Cortland.
