Funeral Services Set for Lindy Teen Killed in Car Crash

Funeral services are set for Brittney Walsh, the 18-year-old in Sunday's night car crash on Montauk Highway.

Family and friends will gather at the in Babylon, on Wednesday and Thursday, from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

A funeral service will be offered at the funeral home on Thursday night.

Reverend Lee Gangaware, pastor of the in Lindenhurst, will be officiating the service, according to the funeral home.

Interment will take place on Friday morning, at 10 a.m., in Breslau Cemetery, in Lindenhurst.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Copiague-based D'Andrea Brothers Funeral Home, an affiliate funeral home under Boyd-Spencer's parent company, Dignity Memorial.

Walsh, who was born in Bay Shore, is survived by her parents, Cheryl (nee Grubel) and Thomas.

She's also survived by her brother, Sean; her grandparents, Judy and John Grubel; and Thomas and Beverly Walsh; and many adoring aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

When Walsh was killed, she had just graduated from the Walter G. O'Connell Copiague High School this past weekend, and had finished her first week of work at Kmart in West Babylon.
