'A Good Boy': Town of Babylon Adoptable Pet Of The Week
Bud is a "good boy" who "just wants to please" after a troubled past. Will you be his forever home?

TOWN OF BABYLON, NY — Bud, a 5 to 6 year-old pit bull terrier, is the Town of Babylon Animal Shelter's Adoptable Pet of the Week.
This brown-eyed boy arrived at the shelter on Oct. 13, after a complicated and unfortunate story.
Sis and his running mate, Bud, were found running, or "on the lam" for at least a week, the shelter said.

The pair were then sighted at a location where traps were set in the woods, but they did not come back. One week later, the two were spotted in another town where they were stopping traffic on busy roads, the shelter said.

When volunteers caught up with them, they were able to secure Sis. It took two more days to catch Bud — again, another town further away.

The shelter said that Sis and Bud will need to be adopted to separate homes, and will need to be the only dog, as they have shown competition and roughness with each other.
"Bud is a good boy, he just wants to please," volunteers said.
He loves his treats — which goes a long way to reassure him that his new environment sights and sounds are all good. He also has healed from skin issues and from being malnourished and dehydrated.
"Bud could really use a nurturing home environment where he can learn how to be the best dog that we know he can be," volunteers said.
