Holiday Parade, Tree Lighting Set for December 1
Annual holiday events are ready to brighten the neighborhood again.
The Lindenhurst Historical Society's annual Tree Lighting is scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 1.
The annual lighting is just one of the many events happening this Sunday, including Santa Claus in the Park as well as the holiday parade.
The fun gets underway at 2:30 p.m. near the tree at the intersection of Wellwood Avenue and Hoffman Avenue at the World War Monument, also known as "The Eagle."
A skating party will take place around the tree as all ages are invited to enjoy the closed off roadway in the village's heart.
The annual parade will get started at 4 p.m., starting again this year from Shore Road Park winding its way up to the tree.
The event will also include refreshments provided by the Chamber of Commerce and Lindenhurst Kiwanis Club.
