Education Rally
There will be a solidarity event on Thursday, October 25, at 4 p.m. in front of the Lindenhurst Middle School.

The purpose of this rally is to build awareness of the adverse effect the tax cap has had on its students, according to organizers.

The rally event will be joined by Educate NY Now, a coalition of parents, students, educators and community organizations, who are demanding the state government fulfills New York constitutional obligation to provide all students with a quality education.

Organizers are asking residents and parents to join them at the LMS on Thursday afternoon for the event, and note if anyone wishes to speak, then they should call John Mansfield, first vice president of TAL (teachers' union) who'll provide some talking points. He could be reached at the TAL office at 631-226-0701.
