Update: LHS Graduation Is a Go Friday Night

Update 4:40 p.m.: Despite the downpours the thunderstorms that have been moving through Lindenhurst right now, the Lindenhurst School District has decided to go ahead with tonight's (June 22) ceremony at the middle school field at 6:30 p.m., as scheduled.

According to district officials, the Buildings and Grounds staff are working "feverishly" to clean up and dry everything off in time for the .

This information will also be posted on the district's website.

Update 3:15 p.m.: With the thunderstorms in Lindenhurst right now, the Lindenhurst School District is currently deciding whether to push back tonight's graduation ceremony, or postpone until tomorrow night (the original rain date).

The Class of 2012 is set to graduate tonight, June 22, at the field.

The ceremony is scheduled for 6:30 p.m..

The rain date is Saturday, June 23, same time and same place, according to school officials.
