LI Man Charged With Crashing Stolen Vehicle Into 3 Parked Cars: Police

The man crashed into a fence and then fled the scene, police say.

LINDENHURST, NY — A man was arrested on Wednesday, after he fled the scene after crashing a stolen vehicle into a fence and several parked cars in Lindenhurst, Suffolk County Police said.

James Lozier, 29, of Amityville, crashed a stolen Toyota Camry into a fence and three parked vehicles at Enterprise Rent-a-Car, located at 199 Montauk Highway, at about 3:13 a.m.

He then fled the scene on foot, police said.

Lozier was arrested by First Precinct Patrol, police said.

The Camry was reported stolen earlier this month.
