Lindy Local Events
The William Rall PTA is hosting its annual Chinese Auction Friday at the school beginning at 6 p.m. There'll be more than 200 auction items up for grabs. Admission is $5 and includes light refreshments.
The Lindenhurst Rotary Club will hold another Beautification after Sandy event throughout the weekend. Volunteers across Long Island and visitors from New Hampshire will help to clean up about 80 properties across Lindenhurst.
The Town of Babylon will hold a free Spring Cleanup Day on Saturday rain or shine, from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Residential Recycling Center located on Field Street in West Babylon. It's also a S.T.O.P. Collection Day.
The Lindenhurst American Little League Opening Day Parade and Ceremony takes place 10:30 a.m. Saturday beginning at the old Sears on Speigelhagen and ending at Babylon Town Hall.
The Lindenhurst National Little League Opening Day Parade and Ceremony starts at 12:45 p.m., beginning at Village Square (Gazebo) and ending at Village Park.
Saint John's Lutheran Church is hosting a Chocolate Fest on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. Admission costs $5.
