Lindenhurst Employee Named 'Administrator of the Year' By BOCES

LINDENHURST, NY — A Lindenhurst administrator was recently recognized by Suffolk County for her professional accomplishments and career.

Jennifer Freedman, Coordinator of Instructional Technology and Library Media Specialists, was named the 2022-2023 Administrator of the Year by the Western Suffolk BOCES School Library System Council, the district announced.

This award is presented to an administrator who has demonstrated a commitment to the growth of school libraries by actively promoting school libraries, providing support for library programs and creating an environment that encourages staff and students to use libraries, a release said.

Freeman was honored in the board of education's March 1 meeting. She will be honored at the School Library System’s 8th Leadership and Information Symposium on May 11 at the Western Suffolk BOCES Conference Center.
