Lindenhurst Falls to Pat-Med at Home
Bulldogs lose another heartbreaker at home after late rally by Raiders.

The fourth-quarter continued to haunt the Lindenhurst Bulldogs in 2013, as Patchogue-Medford made a huge come-from-behind rally to snatch the Friday night game from Lindy, 24-17.
The Bulldogs entered the fourth-quarter with the lead before the Raiders made the 14-point come back, leaving the Bulldogs stunned again.
Senior Peter Mangione ran back a 99-yard kickoff to start the game with a touchdown for the third straight game this season, giving Lindenhurst the early 7-0 lead only 17 seconds into the game.
The Bulldogs added a few more scores to head to the locker room up 17-10 at the half. But it was all Raiders from there on out, with two key drives in the fourth leading to a home loss for Lindenhurst.
"It's been the story of our season," Lindenhurst head coach Nick Lombardo told Newsday. "We make big plays and then we don't. We haven't put together two solid halves."
The Bulldogs dropped to 1-4 in 2013 while the Raiders improved to 4-1.
Lindenhurst will head to Commack next week to face the 5-0 Division I leading team at their home at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 19.
