Lindenhurst Host's New Year's Eve Celebration And Ball Drop

LINDENHURST, NY — With both Christmas and Hanukkah over, many people are looking forward to fun and exciting ways to ring in the New Year.

If staying at home isn't your thing, there's no need to go to Times Square to watch the ball drop, since the Village of Lindenhurst is hosting its own.

The community is welcome to gather with village officials to watch Lindenhurt's own New Year's Eve celebration near Village Square on Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Music, giveaways, and other live entertainment will take place. The ball is set to drop at 8 p.m.

In a social media post on Wednesday, village officials wrote: "We look forward to an exciting evening in the heart of the downtown celebrating the close of one year and the start of another great one in our Village! There will be live music, entertainment, free giveaways, and more!"
