Lindenhurst HS Club Recognized By LI Officials For Community Service
The club distributed 140 backpacks filled with school supplies throughout the district this year.

LINDENHURST, NY — Several Lindenhurst students were recently recognized by Long Island officials for making their district a better place.
Students from the Lindenhurst High School A.R.M.S. Club were awarded Certificates of Recognition from representatives Legislator Kevin McCaffrey’s office and Village of Lindenhurst Mayor Michael Lavorat for their commitment to serving others.
The club was also gifted a $2,150 check by Turtle Graphx sign fabricator/installer Tom Baumann.

This past year, the club distributed more than 140 new backpacks throughout the district, all filled with school supplies.
The students also sold raffle tickets for prizes that were donated, raising an additional $255 for a grand total of $2,405 that will be used to sustain the outreach effort of next year’s campaign.
