Mayor Lavorata said, “One of the best questions asked was ‘What do you do when you don’t know something?’, and I replied that I seek counsel from those who have done it before. Learning from others, like County Legislator Kevin McCaffrey, Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer, and Former Mayors Lynda Distler & Tom Brennan, has been an important and invaluable tool in doing my job as Mayor.”

Additionally, West Gates Avenue Elementary and Lindenhurst Middle School students also recently took trips to Village Hall where Mayor Lavorata and Deputy Mayor RJ Renna explained the various functions of government, answered questions, and gave the students a tour of Village Hall.
