Lindenhurst Marching Band Wraps Up a Fall of Firsts

Band marches into national championships and finishes seventh overall.

The Lindenhurst High School Marching Band placed seventh in the United States Bands National Championship held recently at Met Life Stadium.

The win helped cap off a very successful season for the band, much of which saw the promising musicians take home many awards.

At the nationals, the band placed in the top five in all music captions. Lindenhurst scored a 92.688, which was the highest score Lindenhurst has achieved in the past 20 years.

In addition to this honor, the band received a third-place finish at the New England State Championships and also secured a New York State championship title for the fourth consecutive year.

“The entire Lindenhurst community has much to be proud of in this special group of hard-working, dedicated students,” said Kevin Pike.
