Lindenhurst Officials Attend Suffolk County Legislature Meeting

Lindenhurst Village Officials recently attended the 2025 Organizational Meeting of the Suffolk County Legislature.

LINDENHURST, NY — Lindenhurst Village Officials recently attended the 2025 Organizational Meeting of the Suffolk County Legislature.

All 18 legislators were administered the Oath of Office en masse, and then individually signed the County Clerk’s Oath of Office Book, overseen by County Clerk Vincent Puleo.

Votes were also taken to elect the Presiding Officer and Deputy Presiding Officer of the Legislature. Incumbents Presiding Officer Kevin McCaffrey and Deputy Presiding Officer Steve Flotteron were unanimously reelected.

Eighteen districts of roughly equal population and communities of interest make up the entirety of the Suffolk County Legislature. The Legislature is charged to write, change, and oversee county laws, with the County Executive, to chart the future of Suffolk County.
