Lindenhurst Students Donate to ASPCA

Lindenhurst Middle School students raise money to give to the national animal charity.

Lindenhurst Middle School’s Peer Tutor Club raised $400 for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals by selling candy.

The Peer Tutor Club consists of seventh- and eighth-graders who tutor sixth-grade students needing extra help in mathematics.

Students involved in the LMS Club include eighth-grade members Samantha Monahan, Ziad Zambry, Liam Shanley and Gregory MacGown (shown in the accompanying photo).

The ASPCA was the first humane society established in North America, and today is one of the largest in the world.

The monies the Lindenhurst students raised and donated will help rescue animals, assist in the passing of humane laws and share resources with animal shelters.
