Lindenhurst Students Receive State Award

Lindenhurst High School students Catherine Casella and Cabel McCandless were recently selected as recipients of the Suffolk Zone Awards by the New York State Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, according to a school press release.

Each year, every high school in Suffolk County recognizes the top male and female physical education students based on NYSAHPERD’s criteria of physical education achievement, scholastic achievement, outstanding character, physical education class leadership, school-wide or community leadership and positive role modeling.

The students were recognized at the annual Suffolk Zone Awards Dinner at the Hyatt Regency Wind Watch in Hauppauge Dec. 2.
