Lindy Local Events
Village Mayor Tom Brennan is cooking up a Pancake Breakfast on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. There'll also be a Chinese Auction and 50/50 raffle. Proceeds will benefit the Mayor's Beautification Society of Lindenhurst.

Catch a performance of The Three Little Pigs Out West at the Studio Theatre Saturday at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $10.

Library Happenings
Help the Lindenhurst Memorial Library win the Facebook Like Race: "Visit  our Facebook page and like us! We need 4,000 'likes' by Sunday to win this thing! We are 360 'likes' away from winning the contest as the first library in Suffolk County to reach 4,000 Facebook friends. Thank you, Lindy! Please share and help us win."

Other Local Events
The Long Island Pet Expo takes place this weekend at the Suffolk Community College Brentwood Campus. Kids and pet lovers are invited to see the dog arena, reptile show, petting zoo and more. The event will take place on Friday, March 1, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, March 2, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, March 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults and $5 for children (ages 11 and younger); kids three and younger are admitted free.

Farrell's is hosting Ryan's Hope, a fundraiser for the family of Ryan McCarthy, a teen who was ciritically injured by a hit-and-run driver of New Year's Eve. The event, set for Saturday, March 2, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., will feature music, food and a number of raffles such as 50/50, baskets and grand prizes including an iPad. Organizers are requesting a donation of $10 at the door, which includes a buffet.

After eight years serving the residents in the greater Lindenhurst area, Betinelli Community Boxing Academy's relocating to West Islip. And now BCBA's hosting an open house at its new location at Westbrook School in West Islip on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Ice Rink at Tanger Outlets at the Arches in Deer Park is open and ready for skaters. Stop in this weekend on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
