Lindy Local Events
The South Shore Theatre Experience is performing Till My Dying Day at the Babylon Council on the Arts (BACCA) Arts Center in Lindenhurst to benefit The Wounded Warriors Project. Show times are Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. with a 2 p.m. matinee performance on Saturday.
Catch a musical adaptation of The Three Little Pigs Out West at the Studio Theatre in Lindenhurst on Saturday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10.
The Christina Renna Foundation and the Lindenhurst Rotary Interact Club are collecting prom dresses for a dress drive to benefit Memorial Sloan Kettering Children’s Cancer Center “Prom Night.” Drop off dresses (labeled "CRF" and preferably dry-cleaned) at Renate’s Boutique in Lindenhurst, Tuesday through Saturday, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
More Events
Good Deed Day is celebrated worlwide to make the world a little happier. A good deed could be as small as giving someone a smile or as big as your imagination will take it. Come and take part in the Lindenhurst Youth Center's celebration of the day on Sunday. Kathie Skopek, LYC director, will kick off the day with one of her choices of good deeds, opening on Sunday at 2 p.m. - volunteering to open the LYC on a day it'd usually be closed. Youth from the ages of 11 to 18 are invited.
Kids ages three through five could explore the world of fish in this interactive program at Cedar Beach Marina on Saturday at 10 a.m. The cost is $25 per child. Register in advance via 631-587-2873 or tm353@cornell.edu.
