Lindenhurst Youth Theater Summer Camp Opens For Registration

Campers will participate in both a production class and in performances.

LINDENHURST, NY — If you know a kid who belongs on the stage, they may be in luck.

Studio Theatre of Long Island recently announced that registration for its Youth Theatre Summer Camp is now open.

The camp will take place at Fireman's Memorial Pavilion in Lindenhurst, which has air conditioning in its main building.

Campers will participate in a full production class, and take part in performances at the conclusion of each session. It will be a full day outdoor/indoor camp from 9 a.m. to 3 a.m., a release said. Students will also receive a full lunch, water and snacks throughout the day.

Classes are split into two age groups: students entering grades 1 to 4 and students entering grades 5 to 9. There will be different productions for each group. Only 30 campers will be allotted for each class.

The first session will take place from July 10 to July 28, with shows on July 28 and July 29. The second session will take place from July 31 to August 18, with shows on August 18 and August 19. Performances will take place at the Manes Studio Theatre in Lindenhurst.

Tuition will be $1,000 per session. However, families can now receive $100 off tuition for an Early Bird Registration.

Studio Theatre of Long Island first began at Manes Studio Theatre of Long Island in Lindenhurst, more than 50 years ago, and continues to perform there today.

The theater puts on multiple performances throughout the year, including youth performances, dramas, and musicals.
