Lindy Robotics Team Visited by Boyle
The New York State senator visits the Lindenhurst High School team.
New York State Senator Phil Boyle (R-East Islip) visited Lindenhurst High School to show his support for the Robotics Club as it prepared their robot for the Buckeye Regional in Ohio and the FIRST competition at Hofstra University earlier this year.
Senator Boyle is a long-time supporter of robotics and STEM (Science,Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) studies, according to school officials.
“He was impressed with the team, and the progress the students showed during the demonstration,” said parent Diane Cahill.
“The team also works with the senator to secure various grant opportunities,” she noted.
