Lindy Schools Release Updated 2013-14 Budget Information

The Lindenhurst School District offers residents the latest information about the proposed 2013-14 budget.

The Lindenhurst School District has released its annual dedicated, four-page newsletter with updated information about the $145.7 million 2013-14 budget, which includes includes a 1.99 percent tax levy and the removal of 66-plus aide positions and $1.1 million in reserves.

Click here to download and read a PDF file of it. And community members should also look for it in their mailboxes, as it'll also be mailed to every resident in Lindenhurst from the District this week.

The Annual Budget Vote and Board of Education Trustee Election will take place on TuesdayMay 21, as usual, at Albany Avenue, Daniel Street, Harding Avenue and William Rall Elementary Schools.

And those residents who voted last year at Alleghany Avenue Elementary School vote this year at the Lindenhurst Middle School, according to the District on its website here.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. the day of the vote. A BOE Community Forum is also scheduled that night at the McKenna Administration Building at 8 p.m.
