COPIAGUE, NY — A man is seriously injured after he was stabbed in Copiague early Saturday morning.

At about 1 a.m. at 7-Eleven, located at 154 Oak Street, a man was stabbed during an altercation in the abdomen, police said.

The perpetrator then fled the scene.

The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the stabbing to contact the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
