Meg Danaher Honored as Irish American of Distinction '24 by Suffolk County Legislature

Marguerite (Meg) Danaher, a beacon of support for business, education, and Irish culture within Suffolk County, has been named Irish American of Distinction '24 by Suffolk County Legislature's Presiding Officer, Kevin McCaffrey. The recognition is a highlight of the county's month-long celebration of Irish heritage and the profound contributions of Irish Americans to America and Suffolk County.
At a ceremony held at the H Lee Dennison Building, County Executive Ed Romaine joined in honoring Danaher, along with 17 other outstanding Irish Americans representing their Legislative Districts. The event served to commend these individuals for their exceptional dedication and service to their communities.
Danaher's commitment to the betterment of her community shines through her involvement in various civic organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce and the Lions Club. Additionally, she stands as a proud sponsor of the Lindenhurst St. Patrick's Parade and has even established her own scholarship through her business, Danaher Wealth Management in Lindenhurst, aimed at assisting college-bound high school students who "give back to their community" as they pursue a career in finance.
