WOW Relationships Contribute to Career Book

Lindenhurst, NY, (September 12): Networking has been forced to change and evolve since the Pandemic. One successful example is Winning on Wednesday, which began as an in-person networking group and became an online group.

One of the WOW members, Lisa Strahs-Lorenc, owner of Go Career Compass joined the group just before the transition and has remained with the group ever since. She is a recent author of "Career Journeys From The Ground Up: Discover Your Own Path" and has interviewed 14 individuals to contribute their career journeys to the book–4 of them she met at WOW! They are: Robin Shatzkin, Owner of Travel by Robin; Marc Berlin, Patient Advocate; Les Wolff, Owner of Les Wolff Sports; and Janine Bolon, CEO of Broadcast Media Productions.

Each book participant shared lessons like taking risks and overcoming challenges for the purpose of motivating and inspiring readers.

Where and how do people get career counseling? The author became a career counselor because there were no jobs in the field she went to college for and had no back-up plan. How many others have loans and no jobs? How many go to college with absolutely no career plan? How many go to jobs that they don't like or don't feel they have any options?

For all of you–students, graduates, parents, individuals between jobs and others who want to find out what career might make them happier, this book explores career journeys from the ground up and includes a workbook area with activities, self-exploration and resources.
