New Bocce Ball Courts Open At Babylon Town's Tanner Park
The new courts were recently completed and replaced two existing courts.

COPIAGUE, NY — Residents of the Town of Babylon can enjoy a beloved sport just in time for summer.
Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Deputy Supervisor and Parks Chairman Tony Martinez and Councilman Anthony Manetta recently joined members of the Babylon Bocce Club to ceremoniously ribbon-cut the new state-of-the-art bocce ball courts at Tanner Park in Copiague.
The new courts were recently completed and replaced two existing courts that became dated and were in bad shape, a release said.

After an extensive remodel, there are now four new courts, which are of regulation size, have excellent drainage, benches and LED lighting, as well as large scoreboards to record the progress of each match.
The old courts were 12 feet too short and were not legal for regulation play, a release said.

The Babylon Bocce Club was created in 2021 with the purpose of bringing an organized, competitive, and educational bocce experience to the Town of Babylon.
