New Child Abuse Claim For LI Day Care: Report
Another parent has come forward with a report of child abuse at a Long Island day care, News12 reported.
LINDENHURST, NY — Another parent has come forward with a report of child abuse at a Long Island day care days after an employee was arrested for assaulting a toddler, according to a report by News12.
Megan Marchena, 26, of Massapequa, was arrested on March 1 after police said she injured an 18-month-old female by pushing her face into a cot on Feb. 24 at Tutor Time in Lindenhurst. She was charged with second-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child; the child was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital where she received stitches, police said.
Another Tutor Time parent told News12 that her toddler also endured abuse at the day care and said she "saw an employee throw her son onto his cot through the daycare’s live video feed," the outlet reported on Wednesday.
